Hannah is one and-a-half years old! WHAT?!!! And oh my... she is just a delight at this stage! She's so smart and curious and her language just blows us away. She's already started stringing 2 to 3 words together in small sentences, like "Daddy sing Baby Shark". Fun new words in her vocabulary this month include: Octopus ("App-oh-puss"), Princess, Necklace, Avocado ("ah-ca-doh"), Itsy, Bitsy, Spider ("Issy Spi-dah"), and Bible.
While her comprehension and language are off the charts, little miss is still not really walking. We joke that her brain is so focused on learning language that she hasn't had the energy to figure out the whole walking thing ;) Her 18-month check-up is next week so we'll see what her doctor says about maybe starting some physical therapy to help her along. She's doing great if someone is holding her hand, but so far she's only taken a few little steps unassisted. We'll get her there!
In the meantime, she's just a busy bee. Favorites this month include: playing in the bathtub, playing with her Fisher-Price castle and farm, crawling all over the downstairs looking for Charlotte's kibbles and putting them back in her bowl, FaceTiming with Nana & Do-Dad, pretending to "slide" down the big cushions on our couch, commanding us to sing songs to her ("Mommy sing Row Row!, Daddy sing E-I-O"), painting, coloring, and riding in her stroller ("Hannah's car"). You're our joy Hannah Bug!! Love you so!
