We had a wonderful extended Christmas break this year! Stephen took the whole week before Christmas off work and I took a few extra days as well and we had so much fun family time!! Hannah and I baked and decorated cookies- we made reindeer peanut butter cookies and sugars cookies that Hannah just completely doused in sprinkles. We drove around the neighborhood several times at night to look at lights, which Hannah loved. Stephen and I both went to Hannah's Christmas party at school where she did a pajama exchange with her friends and had a blast dancing and playing.
On Christmas Eve, Oma and Opa came to visit and we went to the candle light Christmas Eve service together. Hannah got to sit with us in church and she was so good and even sang along to "Away in a Manger". When we got home she showed Oma and Opa her special advent story and made sure to tell them not to touch the candles because they were hot :) Then Oma read us the story to go along with her last ornament-a crown-to go on her Christmas tree. It was a wonderful day!
The festivities continued on Christmas day! Hannah got so many fun presents this year- a shopping cart, a Pete the Cat game, a cleaning set, play-doh and a mandolin... oh and the biggest hit of all- a pack of 1,500 stickers; 1000 of which are already stuck in random places all over our house ;) Nana and Do-Dad came over for brunch and got to try out Hannah's new Pete the Cat game. After her nap we went to Nana and Do-Dad's house to play with Crosley, Asher and Henry. The kids had so much fun, especially swinging in the garage while singing along to Sandy Patti at the top of their lungs ;) Hannah got so much fun stuff from "Nana Claus", including a jewelry making kit, princess backpack, baking set, paint crayons, and a Princess castle! We had such a fun day, and the best part is... this weekend the celebration continues when we go up to Oma and Opa's house for Christmas with Kate and Luke!!
