Hannah had a wonderful Christmas this year filled with lots of family time and lots of fun. On Christmas Eve we went to the candle light service at church and Hannah sang along to Silent Night and Oh Come All Ye Faithful and helped blow out the candles in the advent wreath. Before bed on Christmas Eve she set out a plate of cookies that she decorated for Santa and a letter thanking him for the presents.
Christmas morning was so much fun!! She woke up excited bright and early at 6:15. Before we went into the living room to see the presents, we lit all our advent candles and the Christ candle. Like last Christmas, she has loved doing the Godly Play Advent story. Hannah's big present this year was a Frozen bike! The weather was gorgeous on Christmas so in the afternoon we took her to the middle school parking lot across the street from our house to practice and she did so great! Her other presents from Santa included lots of art supplies, a terrarium, and her biggest wish- Elsa and Anna dress-up dolls. She has had her eye on these dolls for months but we told her they were too expensive for us to get her... so Santa took care of it ;) It was so fun to surprise her with those!
After we did presents in the morning, Nana and Do-Dad came over for Christmas brunch and round 2 of presents! Y'all Nana Claus is no joke ;) Between her and us I think we are keeping the entire Disney Frozen franchise afloat! Haha! Hannah got so many fun presents- more art supplies, lots of new books, Frozen PJ's, the big Elsa and Anna dolls, a Frozen necklace making kit, and the surprise hit of Christmas this year- Penelope the purple monkey- who talks, giggles, squeals, and toots. Haha! It sounds like an annoying toy on paper but let me tell you- it had us all rolling. We played with it so much we had to replace the batteries already!
It was a wonderful Christmas and just so much fun to see it all through Hannah's eyes!
