Now that the pool is officially closed we had to come up with something else to do on the weekend so we did a little day trip on Saturday to the Bernheim Forest to see the Forest giants! The Bernheim Forest is a little outside of Louisville and about an hour drive for us. It was such a fun day! The weather was a little cooler so it was perfect for hiking. There were lots of fun trails and gorgeous fall leaves, and of course the main draw was the forest giants. Hannah did great keeping up on the hike and she had so much fun seeing the giants. One of the giants has long hair made out of sticks and you can leave "gifts" for her in her hair, so people leave their scrunchies, ribbons, friendship bracelets etc. Hannah left a pink scrunchie for the giant :) There are many more trails to discover in the forest so I'm sure we'll be back for another visit soon!
