Hannah's Summer

 

Hannah has had a very creative summer! We did the same thing we've done the last few summers where she gets to pick an activity from Amazon or Target every week. She's made so many cool things! She made fidget spinners out of resin, worked on crocheting a blanket, made taba squishies, made so much slime, made her own lip gloss, made diamond art coasters, put together several lego sets, and got really into clay and sculpting. 

She loves watching Moriah Elizabeth YouTube vidoes. She's an artist who posts videos of all her different art projects and she designs all these fun characters. One line of her characters are all designed to look like blobs. She came out with a blob making kit so that was one of Hannah's summer activities. She made three of her own unique blob characters and they are so creative. One is designed to look like a summer refresher drink at Starbucks, then there is a baked potato with butter blob, and a lava cake blob. They are all so cute and detailed, and I think they are better than some of the ones Moriah Elizabeth designed :)

I think the best thing I bought her was a huge bucket of white modeling clay. She made a clay flower pot that looks like a pig, and then she made a little dog that's also a ring holder and then she made several other blob characters of her own. 

She had the opportunity to do a basket weaving class at church and she made her own basket! She had so much fun doing that class with Nana and the other church ladies. Speaking of Nana, Hannah got to spend the night at Nana and Do-Dad's several times this summer, and she also spent a day with them every week. She got in lots of pool time and play time! She also had a blast like she always does at Cousin Camp!! I think they set a record for hours spent at Malibu Jack's in a single day ;) She has the best time with her cousins and regular Facetime sessions with Crosley were a big part of her summer. 

Other activities included listening to lots of Harry Potter audio books- (she's on the last book now!) and watching the Harry Potter movies. She also went to Art Camp at church, and lots of Target and Kroger runs with me. We got her a Duolingo subscription for the summer so she has been learning German and also learning how to play chess! Tomorrow she's going on her annual Holiday World trip with Stephen, and then it will be time to start thinking about back-to-school. 

She had a wonderful summer full of fun activities but also lots of chill time. I love having her home with me and I will miss her when she goes back to school next week!!
