Hannah is ONE!!!
What a wonderful year it has been with our little Hannah bug! She is so much fun at this stage and it just keeps getting better! She's branched out with her eating a lot this month and has added more solids to her diet, like animal crackers, toast, waffles, and... on her birthday she got to eat a cupcake! She is doing great with her sippy cup too and she looks like such a big girl drinking from it. The girl LOVES waffles and when she sees that yellow Eggo box being pulled out of the freezer she starts fussing because she doesn't like to wait the one minute it takes to toast the waffle. Haha! Wonder where she gets that impatience from... ;)
She is a busy little wiggle worm at this stage and is hardly ever still anymore. She has so many new toys to play with from Christmas and her birthday and she's constantly on the move. She especially likes the helium balloons she got for her birthday and points at them excitedly and says "Baba" for 'balloons'. She's mimicking sounds more and more: the other day at the sitter's house I was feeding her, and there's a Coo-Coo clock in the living room and when it goes off she giggles and points at it and tries to say "coo-coo" although it sounds more like "goo-goo". So cute!
A big development on the nursing side these past few days is that she's down to 3 nursing sessions and 2 bottles a day!! Also..... drum roll please.... I'm officially done pumping at work!!!!!! Whooo hoo!!!! Today was the first day I didn't have to lug my heavy pumping bag to work! I'm thrilled! On Wednesday we have her 12 month appointment and we'll come up with a plan for weaning her completely over the next couple of weeks. It's bittersweet, but definitely more sweet than bitter!
