What a wonderful day we had on Saturday celebrating Hannah's 1st birthday! It was so special to have all of Hannah's grandparents and a set of great-grandparents together on her big day! She's got a great fan club that's for sure :) She loved getting to eat her very first cupcake, and the end result was icing in her hair and cake bits all over her that led to a wardrobe change, haha! Luckily Nana had made her a shirt with her name and a snowflake on it, so she was still stylish for the rest of her party. She got lots of fun presents including board books, outfits, a toy picnic basket, blocks, a Noah's Ark set, and an Oma-original knitted penguin stuffed animal. She won't be bored anytime soon!
The Winter ONEderland theme turned out really cute. We had a banner of 12 big snowflakes strung across the room with monthly pictures of her on each one, and a Winter ONEderland banner hung across the mantle and light-up block letters that spelled out ONE. On the menu: Funfetti cupcakes with strawberry and cream cheese icing, cranberry cheesecake bars, brownies, and Funfetti dip with animal crackers, and pink lemonade.
