Hannah Celebrates "Read Across America Week"

Hannah's daycare celebrated "Read Across America Week" this week with a fun theme every day and some very special guest readers!

For "Mix-n-Match Monday" I put her in as many different patterns and colors as I could find. She didn't seem to notice that she was in a totally mismatched outfit ;)

Tuesday's theme was "Silly Socks" so she wore an 'O the Owl' sock on one foot and a 'Katerina Kitty Cat' sock on the other. She thought that was so funny! In fact, while Stephen was folding her laundry tonight, she saw the socks and put them on mismatched again. (Thanks a lot daycare for starting this new fashion trend) Haha!

Wednesday was a little tricky since it was "Wacky Hair Wednesday" ;) We did our best with Hannah's little wisps of hair. I managed to get 4 bows on top of her head!

Thursday was "Wear Red, White & Black" in honor of Dr. Seuss, and Hannah rocked her favorite Minnie Mouse outfit in the appropriate colors.

Friday was "Favorite Character Day" so of course Hannah went dressed in her Daniel Tiger t-shirt and Daniel Tiger hat, that she got to wear all day!

They had several guest readers come and read to the kids all week, including Hannah's very own Do-Dad! Do-Dad is like a celebrity at Hannah's daycare y'all. I don't even have to refer to him as "Hannah's grandfather" anymore when I tell them he's coming to pick her up because they seriously all know him as Do-Dad. On the day he was scheduled to read, Hannah's teacher texted me and told me that all the kids in Hannah's class kept asking when "Do-Dad" was getting there. Hilarious! Her other teacher told me that her friend Abby was so excited when he sat down to read to them and kept saying "Hannah! That's your Do-Dad! Look Hannah! Do-Dad!!" Too cute! Her class got to listen to him read one of Hannah's books- Little Blue Truck Leads the Way.
