1. Caribu App- it's a family video-calling app integrating children's books and activities - a truly engaging experience for kids and their families - a "virtual playdate." Hannah loves playing on this app with Nana and Do-Dad, and it really helps me out towards the end of the work day when Hannah is getting antsy!
2. Tinkerbell movies- Did you all know that there are like 8 Tinkerbell movies? Apparently "Disney Fairies" is a franchise and thanks to a recommendation from her big cousins Kate & Luke- Hannah has discovered the magical world of Tinkerbell and friends. Y'all, I'm not gonna lie- these movies are super cute and I'm kind of into them too.
3. ABCMouse- This is the closest thing to an education Hannah is getting right now. It's usually $10 a month or something ridiculous, but right now it's free because schools and daycares are closed and they felt sorry for all us parents ;) It's basically a virtual classroom where you do all kinds of fun activities that earn you tickets, and then you can go "shopping" and buy cool stuff like different outfits for your avatar or toys and furniture for your virtual room. Saving up tickets has actually been a great lesson for Hannah and given her a little bit of a concept of what money is.
4. PBS Games- Hannah has always loved playing these games. All the PBS kids shows have games associated with them and they are all educational and Hannah can stay busy with these for a while. Her favorites include the Pinkalicious storymaker- where you storyboard your own book, drawing with Scribbles & Ink, and making custom creature power suits on Wild Kratts.
5. Cinderella, Cinderella II Dreams Come True, Cinderella III A Twist in Time- Bet you didn't know Cinderella was a trilogy. Hannah has just fallen in love with these and has been known to watch them over and over and over (I know- we'll crack down on screen time when this is all over, but now is not the time.) The Cinderella sequels are both so awful that they're good, and as with the Tinkerbell movies- I secretly kind of like them.
6. Moana soundtrack- The Moana soundtrack rocks. If Hannah and I are having a slow morning in our home office, I just play some of these songs and we have a quick dance party and then we're good to go ;) We also watched the movie for the first time recently, and while we liked it- it's taken a backseat to all the Cinderella/Tinkerbell bingeing we've done this week.
7. Fancy Nancy - Who likes being fancy? Hannah likes being fancy. She loves this show on Disney+ based on the Fancy Nancy books. Nancy likes dressing up, throwing fancy tea parties, using big words and speaking French, so this counts as a vocabulary/foreign language lesson in my book.
8. Wild Kratts - This is a super creative show on PBS about two brothers who travel all over the world to learn about different animals. It's fun because Hannah now knows all kinds of random animal facts about Golden snubbed nose monkeys and gila monsters.
