Halloween

Hannah was a beautiful monarch butterfly for Halloween this year. The annual church trick-or-treating event ended up inside instead of at the pumpkin patch (because the weather is almost always lousy) but Hannah still had a great time conveniently trick-or-treating around the fellowship hall and ending up with a giant bag full of candy in a matter of minutes. It's a good thing too because 2 days later on the actual Halloween, the school called me and told me to come pick up Hannah because she had a fever :( She missed getting to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood, which was too bad. She had a pretty bad respiratory virus and missed several days of school, but she's all better now!

She had fun carving a pumpkin and painting acorns that she collected on a walk. They turned out really cute! She also got to go on a field trip to downtown Versailles as part of a unit on government that her class did in Social Studies. In the bottom right photo you can see her seated beside the county judge executive. This little lady is going places! :)
