After 5 ear infections in a 6 month period this year, and not responding to antibiotic treatments unless they were ultra-strong antibiotic shots (which we had to resort to twice), Hannah's doctor referred us to an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist. They of course recommended that she have the surgery to get ear tubes. Several of our friends have kiddos who have them, and everyone we talked to said they helped tremendously in reducing ear infections in their kids.

Hannah's surgery was on Friday morning at at 7:30am, but we had to be at the hospital at 5:45am- Yikes! Everything went very smoothly and Hannah did great! The worst part was when the nurse took her away from us to go into surgery... Hannah cried... Mommy cried... it was not fun. Luckily it is a very quick procedure and we weren't apart for very long. She was really fussy waking up from the anesthesia, but by the time we got home later that morning, she was back to her happy self. We are so glad this is all behind us and thankful that everything went so well. She recovered super fast, and by the afternoon was ready to go have fun! We took her to the library, where she played with blocks and colored with Daddy, and then we took her to Orange Leaf for some frozen yogurt since she was such a brave girl! Love you Hannah bug!!!

I'm sure you've noticed there is a new "friend" in most of the picture above. We gave Hannah a Margaret Tiger stuffed animal the morning of her surgery. Margaret got to stay with her the whole time, even when they took her back for surgery. Ever since, she has been very attached to Margaret Tiger and she takes her EVERYWHERE!
