We had a very eventful Memorial Day weekend starting with a trip to the UK Twilight Children's clinic. Poor Hannah came down with a sudden fever on Friday evening, and I just had a bad feeling about it. Stephen called the after-hours clinic and got us an appointment for that same evening and by the time we got there her fever was even higher. Sure enough, her ears were still infected... or infected again, we don't really know. Since 2 rounds of oral antibiotics hadn't done the trick, the doctor recommended giving her antibiotic shots. After a shot on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, she finally seems better. We have to take her to her pediatrician in 8 to 10 days to follow up, but for now we are really hoping that we're done with ear infections for a while. By Monday she was her happy self again so we went up to Northern Kentucky to see Oma for her birthday. Hannah had a great time playing with my old toys and going on a walk to the playground, and swinging with Oma and Opa!
